Suggested Scenes from a Studio of Becoming

This collage sketches out imagined scenes from Living Threaded—a participatory art project rooted in care, co-authorship, and emotional rhythm. These suggested moments reflect the kind of studio I’m building with students and educators at Shooters Hill Sixth Form College.

Living Threaded — Project Highlights

  • Mural and textile experimentation blending stitched motifs, layered fabric, and public storytelling

  • Youth-led collaboration with Level 2 and 3 Art & Design students at Shooters Hill Sixth Form College

  • Curriculum-linked workshops exploring care, identity, and co-authorship through creative practice

  • Emotional rhythm and nourishment as guiding principles for both studio and teaching

  • Suggested scenes include participatory murals, quiet reflection spaces, and audio-visual installations

  • Inspired by artists like Basquiat and Lauren Halsey, whose work centres cultural legacy and youth voice

  • Rooted in PGCE practice through UCL, integrating pedagogy, public engagement, and reflective research

  • Future-facing archive of stitched memory, youth feedback, and pedagogical tools for inclusive art education
